A quick-thinking witness was responsible for stopping a hit-and-run driver in Phoenix overnight.
A driver reportedly crashed into another car with two women inside near 35th Avenue and Thomas Road, forcing his car to spin around.
The impact didn't stop him, though. He took off from the scene, but a passerby followed him and got him to stop a block away.
The passerby held the driver until police arrived, at which time he was arrested.
Fortunately, the women who were hit were not injured.
There is no information available on what caused the crash or if impairment was a factor.
