PHOENIX — A debris spill caused westbound Interstate 10 to be brought to a standstill Wednesday night.

Traffic cameras and aerial video from Air15 showed a miles-long backup beginning at I-10 and 16th Street around 8 p.m. during the closure.

The debris has been removed from the freeway and the Arizona Department of Transportation says the I-10 reopened just before 9:30 p.m.

No other details were immediately released.
