PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a traveler at Sky Harbor International Airport was arrested Wednesday after assaulting someone during a mask argument.
Officers responded to the incident at Terminal 4 around 8:30 a.m.
The victim reportedly told officers that the suspect, 47-year-old Yolanda Yarbrough, struck his face with her hand.
The suspect had traveled from Los Angeles and was connecting to another flight in Phoenix.
Airplane employees say Yarbrough was told masks and face coverings were mandatory, and was again reminded after the plane landed. At that point, she hit the victim.
Another person at the airport captured the incident on video, showing the woman yelling at several people, saying she was going to get on her next flight.
She was arrested and booked into jail for assault.
