A 16-year-old, who police say was accidentally shot while mishandling a gun on Monday, has died.
Police said Monday that the teen, identified as Brandon Ramirez, was handling a firearm with a 15-year-old friend when the gun went off, hitting Ramirez in the stomach.
Adults were home at the time and called 911 for help.
Police are still investigating exactly what happened, but officials are saying it was accidental, according to early evidence.
