If you're an SRP customer, get ready for good news.
SRP’s Board of Directors has approved a $27 million price decrease for July and August.
The typical residential customer will save about $7.60 month.
This decrease will only be in effect for July and August billing cycles.
According to SRP, the decrease is possible because SRP has been able to reduce expenses in two components (Environmental Programs Cost Adjustment Factor and Fuel and Purchase Power Adjustment Mechanism) of its electric prices.
Prices will return to the original summer season price for the September 2016 billing cycle.
