Silent Witness has increased the reward in the search for Elton Jardines, wanted for the 2009 double murder of two young Phoenix mothers, to $6,000.

Police say Jardines and a group of friends got into an argument with several women outside of a QuikTrip gas station near 27th and Northern avenues around 2 a.m. on May 31, 2009.

During the argument, Jardines got out of his car and shot at the women’s car, hitting four of them and killing Crystal Arrona and Joanna Ray Lopez.

Jardines has been on the run ever since. He is described as 29 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 150 pounds, and had tattoos on his right arm and chest.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
