The son of the founder of the GoDaddy web domain company has pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend at his Scottsdale home.

Maricopa County Superior Court officials say 43-year-old Robert Sean Parsons pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated assault. He's scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 12.

Authorities say Parsons and his girlfriend had a hostile conversation in July after she asked him about text messages and pictures sent by other women on his phone.

Parsons was accused of grabbing his girlfriend's her throat, choking her and striking her repeatedly.

The woman told police she tried leaving three times but Parsons grabbed her by the neck and lifted her each time, preventing her from breathing.

According to police, she went to the hospital twice due to injuries sustained in the assault.
