A Peoria man accused of inappropriately touching underage girls at his horseback riding training facility has been convicted.

Maricopa County prosecutors say a jury Monday found 69-year-old Ralph Edward Carr guilty on 14 counts of sexual abuse. He's scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 7.

Carr's first two trials ended in hung juries. The first was in 2012.

Jurors in Carr's second trial last March couldn't agree on 14 charges, but acquitted him of one count each of aggravated assault and sexual abuse.

Carr was initially accused of fondling an 11-year-old girl in 2006 at his horseback facility in Peoria.

Four more girls came forward over the next three years accusing Carr of the same offense.

Prosecutors say Carr gained the trust of the girls before groping them in a barn.
