PHOENIX — A tweet sent from the account of a President Trump 2020 campaign staffer appears to criticize Senator John McCain for “still not answering questions.”
McCain passed away in August of this year.
The tweet sent Thursday evening, which links to an article from 2017, reads as follows:
“Since everyone is just now realizing his staffers role in the #RussiaHoax We have been asking questions! John McCain Still Refuses to Answer Questions About His Role in the Dossier”
If you click the "share on Twitter" function inside the article, the headline is automatically included in your tweet. Despite that, many of the replies to her tweet are criticizing the wording, and the fact that she did not remove the headline before sending the tweet.
