Phoenix police say a man is in critical condition after he was stabbed while trying to intervene during a fight on Thursday night.
Officers responded to the area of 28th Drive and Cactus Road in response to the emergency. During the investigation, police learned that the victim stepped in during a verbal fight between a man and his girlfriend when the man stabbed him.
The suspect fled the area. He has been identified by police, but officers are still looking for him.
Police say the victim is in critical condition.
