PD investigating airsoft gun shots at officers

Phoenix Police say officers located a vehicle believed to be involved in an investigation involving aggravated assault on officers.

Around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, police stopped a speeding car near 16th Street and Indian School Road. The car matched a description one involved in an investigation of criminal damage and shots fired at police by an airsoft gun.

Police say a pellet gun was found in the trunk of the vehicle.

The driver of the car was arrested for a suspended license and two juveniles were detained for curfew violations.

The investigation involving aggravated assault on officers is still ongoing. Police have not yet said if the vehicle or individuals contacted are in fact related to the original aggravated assault case.
