A hit-and-run suspect was taken into custody Tuesday after he rammed a police cruiser.
Sgt. Trent Crump, spokesman for Phoenix police, said officers attempted to stop a driver suspected of being involved in a hit and run in a parking lot near 30th Avenue and Indian School Road when the driver rammed into another police officer's vehicle.
The suspect was taken into custody and then to the hospital related to "self-admitted drug abuse," according to Crump.
The man's identity was not released.
