The victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday has been identified as 30-year-old Vincent Reid.
The motorcyclist and a dump truck collided Saturday morning at about 10 a.m. near 42nd Place and Baseline Road.
Reid was reportedly not wearing a helmet and died on scene.
Reid's 4-year-old child was also on the motorcycle but was wearing a helmet and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say Reid was weaving through traffic when he approached the dump truck slowing to make a turn. The motorcycle fell over when Reid tried to adjust, ejecting Reid and the child.
The dump truck driver wasn't injured and cooperated with police during the investigation.
Although some other states have laws regarding the minimum age for passengers on a motorcycle, Arizona does not have one in place.
