Police are reaching out for the public’s help in solving a deadly shooting in Phoenix last year.

On Feb. 18, 2016, police received reports about a shooting in the area of Southern and Central avenues.

Police say that three men were sitting in a parked car when they were approached by three other men who were on-foot.

According to authorities, the unknown men fired several shots striking two people who were sitting in the front seat of a car.

Three men were wounded during the incident and 17-year-old Demetric Carter later died of his injuries in the hospital.

The two other injured people, ages 19 and 20 years old, suffered severe injuries during the incident. Their names haven’t been released.

According to investigators, the shooting may have stemmed from a pre-arranged drug deal “gone bad.”

Police are continuing to search for two suspects in connection to the shooting. Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
