The Phoenix Police Department has arrested 57-year-old Lam Tran for several laser strike incidents involving aircraft approaching Sky Harbor and Deer Valley airports recently.
Phoenix police say they worked with Glendale police to track down an approximate location where the suspect was pointing the lasers from, and after it happened again, they were able to locate Tran at his home.
Tran reportedly admitted he was involved in the laser strikes but didn't give a motive to police.
Police say this is a good reminder to the public of the dangers of pointing lasers at any aircraft, and the severity of the crime.
Tran was booked on one count of felony endangerment.
