A man carrying a replica gun near 27th Avenue and Osborn Road was taken into custody by Phoenix police Friday morning.
Police say around 6:40 a.m. they received reports of a man walking in the area with a gun.
Police used their reverse 9-1-1 system to notify residents in the area of the ongoing situation.
Bostrom High School was placed on lockdown as officers set a perimeter to isolate the man.
Officers then made contact with the man and took him into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
Police say it is unclear at this time if the man will face any charges.
The lockdown has since been lifted and the area has reopened to all traffic.
