PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

Police say it happened around 3:00 a.m. Thursday near 16th Street and Campbell Road, north of Indian School Road.

Officers were called to the area for reports of a hit-and-run crash. When they arrived they found a male, identified as 33-year-old Dustin Terbenson, lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the driver was traveling on 16th Street and left the area before officers arrived.

The investigation remains ongoing.
