A man was taken to the hospital after being shot several times in south Phoenix overnight.
The shooting happened in the area of Central Avenue and Broadway Road around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say the victim is a man in his 20s and was shot several times in the torso and lower extremities. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.
Officials are investigating the shooting and had limited information as far as suspects or a motive.
