Police are investigating after a man says he was shot at while driving on a Phoenix freeway on Saturday evening.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the man, who was traveling westbound around the airport near Interstate 17 and State Route 51 around 5:16 p.m., was not injured when a suspect rolled down their passenger side window and fired a shot into his car.
The man pulled off of the freeway around 7th Street and McDowell Road. He told authorities the suspect is an African American woman who was driving a white Kia.
Officers say no one was hurt and the suspect is outstanding.
Police say they have no information about a motive or the circumstances that led up to the incident.
