PHOENIX - Are you looking for work? The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is looking for workers and is hosting the first of many hiring events on April 24.
The hiring event will feature "on the spot" interviews for their several careers that are available.
Open positions include food services workers, shift supervisors, service technicians, and food service supervisors.
MCSO is also hiring for more than 150 detention officer positions as well as multiple justice clerk positions.
The career fair will take place from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at MCSO's pre-employment offices located at 2627 South 35th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
Job seekers will also have the chance to tour the MCSO food factory and take part in a Q&A session with hiring managers.
Applicants interested in working in the food services division will receive a diverse amount of training from basic food handling to obtaining a food handler's certificate as well as the operation of commercial grade equipment and forklifts.
According to MCSO, all safety apparel which includes work boots and uniforms will be provided to employees at no cost.
Chosen applicants will earn full benefits, paid lunches and opportunities for growth.
