Phoenix police were asking for the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl, but she was later located, according to police.
Police say Valerie Cockrill left her home in the area of 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road on Friday just before 7 p.m.
Cockrill took her dog, a yellow or white Labrador Retriever named Meeko, with her.
Family of the girl told ABC15 she had been located safely shortly before 8 p.m.
Police say the girl was found by someone who recognized her. She was not injured. She was located near 26th Avenue and Georgia.
Other details are unknown.
