A ministry group, founded by a former criminal, is saving souls and changing lives inside Maricopa County's jails.
?
Rescued Not Arrested baptized seven inmates at the 4th Avenue Jail Friday.
?
"I've been choosing all kinds of different ways, and so far it didn't work so I'm going to try this," inmate Efrian Sanchez Armenta said before his baptism.

Rescued Not Arrested founder Roger Munchian says his volunteers lead 140 church services every month in Arizona jails and prisons. Munchian understands the struggles of the men whom he meets. He is also a felon, telling the men he was a drug trafficker and he caused a fatal car crash.
?
"God just rescued me by using my bad choices," Muchnian said. "I would never stop and rethink life and reevaluate purpose or direction unless I was taken out of the world of distraction."

Rescued Not Arrested also helps inmates after release by arranging jobs in the community and finding housing.
?
"It's an easy transition - healthy environment, so they don't go back to the same old, bad influence environment," Munchian said.
