A man was rushed to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being shot near 24th Street and McDowell Road.
Sergeant Jonathan Howard said the man was transported in extremely critical condition.
Phoenix Police have determined that the suspect and victim know each other, and were involved in an altercation prior to the shooting.
The suspect fled the area, and has not been located.
No information or description of the shooter is available at this time.
