Heading to the airport on Sunday or Monday? You may want to make sure you arrive several hours before your plane is scheduled to take off...
The headache of long lines and making it to your terminal on time can be eased at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport by arriving at least two hours before your flight.
Officials stress that arriving two hours before your departure is just the minimum suggestion for the month of March. They said they've been experiencing very heavy departure traffic all day on Sunday that is expected to last through all of Monday as well.
Passengers should be prepared to face long lines.

March is the busiest month for travel at the airport. The increase in travelers is coming from people coming through for spring break, as well as spring training. The airport expects to see an average of 140,000 people pass through--30 percent more than usual.
