Gasoline prices around Arizona are lower again at the pumps this week, but still higher than the national average.

Officials with AAA Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $2.42 a gallon. That's down by almost 6 cents from last week.

This week's national average is $2.30 per gallon, a decrease of almost 7 cents from last week.

AAA analysts say prices around Arizona should continue to fall due to the changeover to cheaper winter-blend gasoline.

Tucson has Arizona's lowest average gasoline price at $2.22 a gallon and Flagstaff the highest at $2.75 per gallon.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices among states in the continental U.S. at $1.91 a gallon with California has the highest at $3.10.
