This Friday, we're looking for your help to track down a fugitive in our state

Wanted: Tyrone Lamonte Colter
Charges: Probation violation on charges of attempted child molestation

A man who did ten years in prison for attempted child molestation has absconded from Maricopa County Adult Probation Services. He was last seen on June 15. He has also failed to register as a sex offender and has not attended several sex offender treatment classes as he is required to do.

According to court paperwork, Tyrone Colter was 20-years-old when he molested at least two girls he met at a church youth event in 2005. One of the girls was in her mid-teens, and the other was a pre-teen at the time. Colter made contact with the younger girl and attempted to touch her sexually but was pushed away. Despite and order of protection he continued to pursue the girl, trying to molest her at her church, school and in her home.

Colter admitted to sexually touching this girl and one other teenage girl.

At the time of his sentencing prosecutors said, "His attacks on more than one victim over a significant period of time show him to be an ongoing danger, and he is considered to represent a threat to re-offend."

According to the Department of Corrections, during his ten years in prison Colter received just one disciplinary action.

He was released from prison on February 14, 2014, and put on lifetime probation. He has now fled his lifetime supervision.

Colter is 32 years old, 5-feet 10-inches tall, 160 pounds. He also has a 'TLC' tattoo on his left arm.

If you know anything about his whereabouts, please contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
