The Phoenix Fire Department says a hiker was rescued on a mountain trail after injuring her back.
Fire crews responded to the Echo Canyon Trailhead on Camelback Mountain to help an injured 19-year-old.
According to a fire spokesperson, the woman was almost to the top of the trail when she fell and injured herself and was unable to continue hiking.
The Phoenix fire helicopter was used to transport the woman to safety. She was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No additional information was released.
