A Hispanic Donald Trump supporter's assertion that without Trump there could one day be "taco trucks on every corner" in the U.S. is stirring ridicule, not to mention hunger, across the internet.

Hundreds of tweets with the hashtag "taco trucks on every corner" popped up on Twitter by Friday afternoon, most of them from people salivating for the tortilla-wrapped food.

"If it was any other guy, I'd say, of that's just funny, I think the Trump people mean it," said Doug Conder who has mixed reactions about the sign.

Maria Morfin thinks comment is offensive. "I think it's just pretty idiotic, and rude mostly, it's offending people."

Latinos for Trump founder Marco Gutierrez said that the Mexican culture is "dominant" and "imposing" before issuing his taco warning.

Some groups drove the taco-truck comment further with real trucks.

A coalition of progressive Nevada advocacy groups offered free tacos Thursday outside a Republican congressman's office.

The Arizona Democratic Party has put the phrase up on its marquee and is going to host a taco truck Saturday.
