The big college football matchup between Clemson and Alabama may be on Monday, but the party has already started.
Downtown Phoenix transformed into a football fan's paradise this weekend with Fan Central at the Convention Center and "Championship Campus" out on the streets.
"All day wave been saying, 'Can you believe we're here?' said Ann Griffith, who came from South Carolina to support her Clemson Tigers. “We're just big fans and we love Clemson, and we love everything they support, and it's just fun."
Across from the AT&T Playlist concert series, visitors will find Kevin Flanagan and his team lighting up the city skyline with their giant hot air balloon.
"We're here to help with the festivities, because if you're going to have a party you have to have balloons, and we brought the biggest balloon we could find to the party," Flanagan said.
Organizers recommend taking the Valley Metro Light Rail or carpooling downtown to avoid parking and traffic headaches.
