Another Christmas tree has been placed atop Camelback Mountain, days after the original was removed by the City of Phoenix. Park rangers told ABC15 that the original tree was removed because it had been vandalized.

The new tree will be allowed by the city, but is not allowed to be decorated.

According to Gregg Bach, a department spokesman, a decorated tree could lead to litter, as the ornaments could fall off the tree. Tinsel presents a danger to birds of prey as the shiny decoration could confuse the birds while in flight, a park ranger said.

The replacement tree was seen on Camelback Mountain Friday morning by Air15.
