Audubon Arizona still needs community's help after items stolen

The Audubon Arizona says they’ve reached their donation goal after their storage yard was broken into—but they still need the community's help.

The nonprofit organization was gathering equipment for the first Conservation Work Day of the season (Sept. 17) when a break-in occurred, an Audubon Arizona spokesperson said. Multiple items were stolen, including an essential prop used during the Enchanted Trails event next month.

Despite reaching their initial goal of $2,500, they’re continuing to reach out to the community and ask for additional support.

They took to their donation page to announce, “Please know that your support is still needed. Your gift will help replace our lost items and support programs in which they are used – conservation workdays to help native plants and animals, community events to connect people to nature and other important conservation and education work.”
