Eighty at-risk cats and dogs from Maricopa County will get a second chance at finding their forever homes in another state.

Freekibble and GreaterGood partnered with Wings of Rescue to fly the animals to Pacific Northwest.

Currently, shelters in Maricopa County are full with pets after the Fourth of July weekend but there are other parts of the country that are in need of adoptable animals.

Ric Browde, Director of Operations for Wings of Rescue, says shelters across the country have highly adoptable dogs and cats but are euthanized because of overcrowding.
