Alice Cooper’stown in downtown Phoenix unexpectedly closed on Monday.

The restaurant released the following statement to ABC15: “After 20 years we are sad to close Cooperstown. Thank you to all the loyal staff and patrons. It was a good run!”

Alice Cooper’stown was located just south of Talking Stick Resort Arena at 1st and Jackson streets.

Would-be customers were surprised to find a note on the door Monday morning.

"It's always busy when I come; it's always busy," Dominique Roe, a restaurant regular explained. "I don't really go to the other places, I just kind of come here."

All social media pages for Cooper’stown have since been deactivated.
