"Cowboy is a 1-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier/ Mastiff Mix. Like most Pitties his age, this guy has tons of energy! He would make a great hiking buddy or running partner for someone in an active family. He has lived with kids before and is very friendly with them. He tries to play with everyone he meets. Due to his large size and high energy level, we are recommending that he go to a home with older children (over the age of 8) so he doesn't accidentally knock them down when he tries to play. Cowboy is one of many dogs brought to the Arizona Humane Society through Project Reachout. Project Reachout is a partner assistance program that transfers pets from other animal welfare organizations when space on our adoption floors allow. This is one of the many ways we work with partners to save more lives.
