The Phoenix Fire Department says a nine-year-old and at least two adults have been taken to the hospital in critical condition after a crash Friday night.

The fire department says the two vehicle crash happened around 8 p.m. near 35th Ave and Thomas Road.

Police say one of the two vehicles failed to stop for a red light and hit the other vehicle, forcing it to hit a light pole. Firefighters say a 25-year-old and 27-year-old male were both taken to the hospital, along with the nine-year-old, all in critical condition. Phoenix police also advised a fourth person was taken to the hospital, but their age and condition are unknown at this time.
