The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) said three of their puppies were stolen from their kennels at the shelter at 40th Street and Washington on Sunday night.

Security cameras were able to show two men and a woman, dressed in hoodies, entering a secure area and taking the dogs out of the kennel.

According to AAWL, the puppies, 10-week-old cattle dog mixes, were held at the shelter for upper respiratory infections.

Judith Gardner, President of AAWL said that the pups need to be returned to the shelter as soon as possible so they can receive the rest of their medications before being released for adoption.

Phoenix police have been given the video and social media websites are being monitored in case the puppies are offered for sale.

AAWL asks if anyone sees puppies or have been approached to buy the dogs, to contact police immediately.

If you have any information about the incident call AAWL at (602) 492-2842.
