Thousands of customers in the Valley are without power after strong monsoon storms rolled through Friday morning dropping over 1 1/2 inches of rain in spots.

However, APS and SRP crews have been working hard to restore power as quickly and safely as they can.

Over 1,400 SRP customers are estimated to be without power in Mesa, specifically from Mesa Drive to Alma School Road and University Drive to McDowell Road. Power is expected to be restored by 3 p.m.

Another estimated two SRP customers are without power west of Phoenix after a transformer failed. Check SRP outages.

Around 5,000 customers were without power -- most of the outages in Phoenix, northeast of downtown -- but APS says they were all restored by 1 p.m.

At one point, there were 17,000 customers without power. Check APS outages
