Officials searched an Ahwatukee neighborhood for a 17-year-old boy overnight.
Phoenix police said a suspect took a backpack from a Starbucks near 48th Street and Frye Road. Someone in the area saw a person who matched the description of the suspect and called police.
When officials tried to talk with the 17-year-old, he ran from police and jumped several backyard fences.
A K9 unit was eventually able to find the boy.
According to police, it is unclear if the boy took the backpack.
The 17-year-old was taken in for processing and released to his parents.
