Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a woman who was shot early Saturday morning.
YCSO responded around 5 a.m. Saturday to Wells Fargo and Butterfield roads in Prescott after a report of a woman who had been shot.
When deputies arrived on scene they discovered a 42-year-old woman who had sustained a gunshot wound.
She was transported to the hospital and did not survive.
YCSO say the incident seems to be isolated and there is no danger to the community.
The investigation is ongoing.
