Police say two people are dead and a third is in critical condition following an apparent murder-suicide at an Arizona residence.

The News Herald reports Reue Verbus shot Jesus Garcia and Elizabeth Coronado on Wednesday near Parker.

Police say soon after the shooting, Verbus shot and killed himself.

Authorities say Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Buckskin Fire Department Administrative Captain Matt Pellerin says Coronado was flown to Havasu Regional Medical Center after suffering a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

An investigation revealed Verbus entered an unoccupied residence to wait for the victims. When Coronado, Verbus' ex-girlfriend, and Garcia returned to the residence, police say Verbus opened fire on them in the garage.

Police say Coronado called 911 despite her injuries.
