Animal welfare officials in Bullhead City are searching for the owner of a dog that bit a jet skier in the Colorado River.
Authorities say a man was riding a jet ski Friday afternoon when he fell into the water.
The man told Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare officers he was on a small sand bar when a dog jumped off a boat and bit him in the buttocks.
The dog then returned to the boat and the vessel sped off.
Officials say the dog needs to undergo standard quarantine procedures.
The boat is described as a reddish brown and white flat-bottom speed boat. The dog is described as large in size and black.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare.
