Woman carjacks cab, cuts driver with box cutter in Scottsdale, police say

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Scottsdale police say a woman carjacked a Yellow Cab on Friday morning, cutting the victim with a box cutter. 

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Fry's Food store near 60th Street and Thomas Road. 

Police say the female victim in the Yellow Cab received a minor cut injury caused by the female suspect. 

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reportedly stopped the Yellow Cab vehicle and arrested the driver. 

Scottsdale Police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Akilla Lewis. She was booked into jail on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and theft of means of transportation.
