A man has been taken into custody by a SWAT team after barricading himself in an apartment he was evicted from in Scottsdale.
According to officials, around 2 p.m., the Scottsdale Police Department was working a barricade situation at an apartment complex near Thomas Road and 64th Street.
Police said a man was refusing to leave an apartment after breaking into the residence he was evicted from.
During the barricade situation, six nearby apartments were evacuated. Hirsch Academy was briefly placed on lockdown, but the school lifted the lockdown by 4:07 p.m. on Friday.
The man was taken into custody by SWAT team members around 3:28 p.m., and those effected by the evacuation were allowed to return back home.
