Scottsdale police are asking for the public’s help finding a man in connection to a theft and criminal damage case involving an American flag.

Officers were called to the Scottsdale Park Suites complex near Miller and McDowell roads on July 27 after a man was seen on surveillance video throwing an American flag to the ground. The suspect then damaged the flag pole, police say.

He is described as being a white man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 250 to 275 pounds. Police believe that the man lives in the area.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-500 or the anonymous tip line at 480-312-8477.
