A fearless bouncer at Scottsdale's Skin Cabaret near Scottsdale and McDowell roads captured a Minnesota man firing shots across the street as the business was locked down.

Court documents show 49-year-old David Wayne Byzewski threw a drink at a dancer causing the bouncers to escort him out of the bar.

While outside, Byzewski came after the bouncers and was pepper sprayed. He then left and went across the street to his car.

Seconds later, Nicholas Knudsen, who serves as head of security for the club, said he heard gunshots.

“I saw the muzzle flash and I told everyone to get back inside,” Knudsen said.

Without hesitation, Knudsen went after Byzewski, who was standing next to his car across the street, to keep him from shooting his gun again.

“I snuck across the street, came up behind him and just tackled him,” Knudsen said.

Another armed bouncer followed and helped restrain Byzewski until Scottsdale police arrived.

“I didn’t even think about it. I just wanted to protect the people around me,” said Knudsen.

Byzewski's friend, who was standing at the car with him, told police that Byzewski said, "I'm going to shoot them."

He also said that he saw Byzewski fire several shots at a building across the street from the Cabaret.

Byzewski has a lengthy criminal history in Minnesota including five DUI convictions.

He has been charged with firing a gun at a structure.
