Scottsdale police are investigating after a car crashed into a tree Sunday morning.
Officers responded at 11 a.m. for a crash at 100th Street and Vogel. Investigators determined the car was traveling "at a high rate of speed" when it failed to stop at the stop sign of a T intersection and hit a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area around the crash scene was closed for about four hors, police said.
