An abandoned Chihuahua wants to be reunited with its owner after being left tied up at a Scottsdale PetSmart on Wednesday.

According to the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control unit, an unidentified man walked into the PetSmart at Camelback and Miller roads to request long-term stay for his uncle's Chihuahua at the PetsHotel.

The man's uncle is reportedly in the hospital and needs a temporary home for the dog.

However, when the man couldn't provide proof of vaccination, the PetsHotel stay was denied.

The man then left the store and the Chihuahua was later found tied to a display inside the location.

Maricopa Animal Care and Control has already found a temporary foster home for the dog, but they want to reunite the dog with its owner. They believe the owner may not even know his dog was abandoned by a family member.
