Eighteen farm workers are recovering after they were attacked by bees in southwestern Arizona.

Officials said the farm workers were stung by bees around 7:30 a.m. on a farm in Somerton, Arizona.

Somerton fire said five workers were taken to Yuma Regional Hospital. A woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The workers were attending to the melon fields and using the bees to help pollinate. Someone backed a tractor into the bees which caused them to attack.
