Sierra Vista teen detained for threatening to shoot students

The Sierra Vista Police Department has referred a 14-year-old boy from Buena High School after an investigation into allegations that he made threats to shoot other students.

On December 7, students reported to staff that they heard the male student make threats.

The allegations were investigated by school staff and the student was suspended.

SVPD continued the investigation which resulted in the student being referred on Tuesday for two counts of threatening or intimidating.

The juvenile was detained in the Cochise County Juvenile Detention Center.
