A teenager has been detained for allegedly attempting to smuggle marijuana through the Port of Douglas.
Customers and Border Protection referred a 17-year-old girl, from Douglas, to a secondary inspection on Wednesday where they found more than 160 pounds of marijuana--worth $81,000--in her Pontiac sedan.
The drugs and the girl's vehicle were turned over to the Douglas Police Department.
